It may seem that we have fallen off the blogging world and not kept you all up to date about where we are up to with Project Weavers Cottage, but in the last few weeks we haven’t had an opportunity to do much renovation work due to holidays and family events. But we are firmly back on it and we have much to tell you. However, I realised that I had a lovely update to share about where we were up to with our renovation at month three. There is even a video further down the post and on YouTube if you fancy a little tour.
Of course, you may be thinking that we are well beyond three months, and you would be right. We are actually in month five of our project. But I promise to bring you up to speed on where we are currently at over the next few weeks.
Three months in and I think we have accomplished a fair bit with our little cottage. The ceiling has been taken away upstairs. Which you can read much more about our plans for the top floor in my last blog post. We have looked into some of the original features and figured out what needs repairing and fixing when it comes to brickwork and chimney breasts. We have also bought most of the fixtures and fittings such as a beautiful bathroom suite that features a roll top bath and a custom designed kitchen with that all important Belfast sink.
It is starting to take shape in my mind, which is difficult for me, considering I am not the visual person in our partnership. I can actually start to see where the end result is going. Perhaps you may not agree when you watch the video, as the house has literally been taken back to its original state. Although this video will be amazing to look back on once the transformation takes shape over the next few weeks.
But for now, here is our video update of where we were up to at month three. It would mean the world to us if your liked and shared our video, and if you want more updates in video format then don’t forget to hit that subscribe button.
Thanks for reading and I will be back with another update very very soon.
