We decided that enough was enough. Late nights, no work and home life balance, something had to give right? It’s something that both my husband and I have been talking about for a while. Me being the stay at home mum, writing from home and taking care of the house. My husband working long hours in a stressful job. Leaving and getting home in the dark, barely spending time with the children. Was life really just about this? Working to live instead of actually living and enjoying our lives as parents and with each other? So the dream of starting our own business was planted in our minds and we discussed what we could do with our life in the future.
You may ask, why property? Why renovate and part with a lot of money for a better quality of life? Of course, in these early years we are doing exactly that. Parting with our money, renovating homes while still doing what we would normally do. But we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. We know that this hard work is going to pay off, and it WILL provide us with the lifestyle we want.
I’ve written a little more about our backgrounds on the about us page if you would like to find out more. But we are here, we have purchased our first property and let me tell you we have thrown ourselves well and truly in at the deep end. Is it a straight forward renovation? Is it something we can just tart up and have back for sale in a few weeks? Of course that would have been the easy option, and we’re not about that. We have purchased a grade II listed building over three floors. It’s overwhelming, to me anyway, and a little bit scary.
But with both feet firmly on the ground we have begun our renovating journey and I can’t wait to share with this website exactly what we get up to. Of course, this is my background and I wanted to ensure we found a way to document our journey from nothing, to everything. So come along for the ride and stay tuned for updates over the coming weeks and months.
But for now, here’s a few pictures of our first project.

Wow what a big step. How fantastic! I look forward to seeing more of the renovation x
I love working on properties and seeing the potential in them and doing them up. As I do it though I always regret it and wish I could just live in something that resembled a normal home, but once it’s finished the sense of achievement is huge and all that hard work is worth it. Good luck with the renovations, it looks like a fan building!
How exciting, look forward to watching it develop x
This is both exciting and amazing all rolled into one, I am definitely following on your journey x

Brilliant, go you! I did this after uni for a year or two and loved it but I actually found it a bit lonely in the end so decided to get a 9 to 5 instead. Good luck and looking forward to seeing all your hard work come to fruition.
